COMMERCIAL DIVISION. LIC. 246552C

Pools that take the load of a public weekend.

Hotels, resorts, strata, rooftops, clubs, public venues. Half a century of commercial pool builds across Sydney. Structural engineering in house.

Commercial pedigree

Built for public use.

Our first commercial pool was poured in 1982. Five decades on, the commercial division still runs on the same standard. Steel-reinforced concrete shells, engineered to the brief, signed off in house, finished to the specification a public client needs and the lifespan a public client expects.

Hotel pools in the CBD. Resort pools on the coast. Apartment-block pools that take a hundred residents through a Sydney summer. Swim-school pools, hydrotherapy pools, council and public pools, lemur enclosure water features at Taronga Zoo. The work is varied. The shell is always the same.

Commercial work runs on a different brief to residential. The certifier, the engineer, the operator and the body corporate are all in the room. Trade has to continue. The pool has to handle 30 years of use without the maintenance bill bending the budget. That is the work we know.

Who we work with

The room on a commercial job.

A commercial pool is rarely a one-client decision. We are in the room with the architect, the head contractor, the operator, the body corporate and the certifier from the first meeting through to handover. Half a century of these jobs has taught us to read each one early.

The brief from a hotel general manager is different to the brief from a strata committee, which is different again to the brief from a council asset team or a zoo curator. We adapt the way we communicate, the level of detail in our documentation and the cadence of site reporting to suit. The shell underneath is always the same.

01
Architects and designers
From concept sketch to construction set. We work to the drawings and flag the buildability issues before they become RFIs on site.
02
Head contractors and PMs
A subcontractor that runs to programme, sends a real superintendent to site meetings and closes out defects without chasing.
03
Hotel and resort operators
Builds staged around trade. Reliable plant and finishes that survive a Saturday-afternoon pool deck without staff intervention.
04
Body corporates and strata managers
Clear scope, costed options, defect reporting written for an AGM. Reshells and rebuilds that hand over without committee headaches.
05
Councils and public-asset teams
Specified to public-pool code. Documentation written for asset-management handover. Built for 30 years of daily public load.
06
Specialist operators
Swim-school groups, hydrotherapy clinics, sports-recovery operators, zoos and aquariums. Niche briefs we have built for before.

What you get

A commercial team that has done it before.

01
Engineering in house
Structural design and shell engineering signed off internally. Faster turnarounds. No finger-pointing between contractors.
02
One point of accountability
Shell, plant, finishes and handover under one roof. One contract. One name on the defects list. One superintendent.
03
A 30 year shell
Steel-reinforced concrete built to last the full operating life of the asset. Public-pool detailing as standard, not an upgrade.
04
A real construction record
Five decades of completed commercial pools across Sydney. References from operators still using the pool we poured for them.

They built our rooftop pool over a structural deck in the CBD. Engineering was flawless. Five years on, still pristine.

Hotel client. Sydney CBD. 2020.
